Tomorrow’s culinary businesses are given the space to simmer and boil into long-lasting livelihoods as talented up-and-comers benefit from our immersive accelerator, a food business fast-tracker. Food-loving visitors are also invited to get their hands dirty via fun, interactive and memorable events and activations in our Demo Kitchen.
Kitchen Incubator Programme
Are you ready to take your food business to the next level and write your recipe for success? Grow your future of food at the Makers Landing Incubation Programme. This food business lab is an immersive accelerator course, empowering entrepreneurs to develop their businesses and take charge of their futures.
Our programme combines in-class learning and online studies with the use of our licensed commercial kitchen to build tomorrow’s success stories. Individual assignments are complimented with weekly mentor meetings, plus expert support and facilitation. In partnership with the National Treasury’s Jobs Fund, the Programme’s aim is to support job creation and skills development in the local food industry. It runs over 4.5 months (with two sessions a week whereby each session is two to three hours long) and was co-developed by Stellenbosch University’s LaunchLab and industry experts.
We are looking for early-stage entrepreneurs (start-ups, aspirants and grassroots) with limited access to resources, in the food service, packaged foods and catering industries. Does this sound like you? Click here to apply.

Welcome to our kitchen studio, the perfect blank canvas for all delicious and delightful food events. Think pop-up events, live demos and unforgettable experiences like children’s baking and cooking classes or fine dining hosted by renowned chefs. The space can also be rented out for shoots and food photography, private events or workshops.
Our Demo Kitchen offers access to a fully fitted kitchen with 15 moveable workstations with 2 plate induction, a demo counter and 8 domestic ovens. This unique space is fully adaptable to suit your needs - anything from filming, a cooking class, a workshop, product showcase, book launch and more. Prices range from R1000 per hour.
